This Privacy Policy explains how AutoDash-Pro collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the My Car Info mobile app.

Important: My Car Info is designed to help you store and manage vehicle information, reminders, and optional Digital Glovebox records. You should only add information that you are comfortable storing in the app.

- Digital Glovebox information, such as provider names, reference numbers, expiry dates, notes, and document-related records that you choose to add.
- Uploaded document references or files, where supported and where you choose to use those features.
- Purchase entitlement information for paid app features, such as whether multiple vehicles or Digital Glovebox access has been unlocked.
- Technical information needed to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the app.
3. Information stored locally on your device
Some information may be stored locally on your device to support app functionality, improve convenience, or provide secure access.
- Biometric login uses your device’s built-in biometric authentication system, such as fingerprint or face authentication.
- My Car Info does not receive, store, or transmit your fingerprint, face scan, or biometric template.
- Where saved login access is enabled, credentials or login tokens may be stored securely using encrypted device storage.
- Driving licence photos, where used, are intended to remain stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to AutoDash-Pro servers by My Car Info.
4. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Allow you to save, view, edit, and delete vehicle information.
- Provide MOT, tax, insurance, warranty, service, and breakdown tracking features.
- Provide reminder and Digital Glovebox functionality.
- Manage access to paid features and restore purchases.
- Maintain app security, reliability, and performance.
- Respond to support requests.
- Comply with legal, security, fraud prevention, and accounting obligations where required.
5. Legal basis for processing
Where applicable under UK or EU data protection law, we process personal information on one or more of the following bases:

6. Firebase and third-party services
My Car Info uses Firebase services provided by Google to support app functionality, including authentication, database storage, and file storage where applicable.

- Cloud Firestore may be used to store account, vehicle, reminder, Digital Glovebox, and purchase entitlement data.
- Firebase Storage may be used where uploaded files or document storage features are enabled.
- Google Play services may be used to process in-app purchases and manage purchase status.
These providers process data only as needed to provide their services, maintain security, and support app operation.
7. Data storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. Data transmitted between the app and Firebase services is encrypted in transit.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. However, we aim to use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information.

We do not sell your personal information.
We may share or process information with trusted service providers, such as Firebase, Google services, and app store providers, only as needed to operate the app, manage purchases, provide support, maintain security, or comply with legal obligations.
9. Paid features and purchases
My Car Info may offer optional paid features, such as unlocking multiple vehicles or Digital Glovebox functionality. Purchases are processed by the relevant app store provider, such as Google Play.
We may store purchase entitlement information to enable access to paid features, restore purchases, and maintain correct premium access across app sessions.
10. Notifications and reminders
My Car Info may allow you to create reminders linked to vehicle dates, such as MOT, tax, insurance, warranty, service, or breakdown cover dates.
Notifications are used to remind you of important dates. You can control notification permissions through your device settings.

12. Account deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the app’s services.
If you request account deletion, we aim to delete your account data within 30 days, unless limited retention is required for legal, security, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, dispute resolution, or regulatory reasons.
14. Children’s privacy
My Car Info is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.
15. International processing
Some service providers used to operate My Car Info, including Google/Firebase services, may process information in countries outside your country of residence. Where this occurs, data may be processed in accordance with the provider’s security, privacy, and legal safeguards.
